Rachna Banerjee is an Indian Bengali actress in the Calcutta-based Bengali cinema at Tollywood. She was 1994 Miss Kolkata. She has won five beauty contests in India. Rachna has appeared in 35 Bengali movies with Prosenjit Chatterjee. She has also done several Odia movies, many with Siddhanta Mahapatra. She was also in the Hindi movie ''Sooryabansham'' with Amitabh Bachchan. Some of her South Indian co-actors are Upendra and Chiranjivee. ==Personal life== She is the only one child of her parents. Her original name is Jhumjhum Banerjee. She won the Miss Calcutta contest in 1994. She won many beauty contest before her acting career. Director Sukhen Das renamed her in her debut movie, ''Daan Protidan'' (1994). Banerjee married Siddhanta Mahapatra at Cuttack in 2004, but later they divorced and she left the Odia Film Industry. Currently she is married to Probal Basu and has a son, named Pronil Basu. Apart from acting, she has also hosted the most popular Bengali non-fiction TV show, ''Didi No. 1'', which is aired in Zee Bangla on weekdays.
